Nur-Motorsport Porsche GT2 Replica. 30th April 2010 The Porsche has now had the basic map put in by Ryan from 2Bartuning and has run on the road, however we discovered an issue with the spark being blown out so we are going to take the engine out again in order to install a Coil Pack system. The custom exhaust is fully installed with the wrapped straight ends that will allow easy fitment of supertrap mufflers at trackdays if needed. 2nd April 2010 The new single turbo engine ran for the first time last week and is now having the final parts bolted on to be ready for mapping by Ryan from 2BarTuning on Saturday. This will be done on the new ECU for this car which is a Solaris S6. The turbo wastegate has been installed and plumbed in, new exhaust twin exits have been made with straight 3 inch pipe to allow fitment of baffles for trackdays and the exhaust has been heat-wrapped where possible. The VEMs gauge has been fitted and will allow us to monitor Air Fuel Ratio and Exhaust temperatures, and we are going to go for the Video Box system from Race Technology for this car. 17th February 2010 Our single turbo conversion on our GT2 replica is coming together now. As the GT35 turbo that we have chosen requires water cooling in addition to the oil lubrication and cooling that many turbo's rely on we have installed a water loop to the front of the car to ensure safe running temperatures in the turbo. This uses a small water to air radiator place near the original oil cooler and a water tank and pump in the front luggage compartment. Also we have expanded the oil cooling capability of the engine by installing an additional identical Porsche oil cooler on the opposite side of the front luggage bay, which again should help keep things running in good order. In the engine bay we are using the Fuel-Lab adjustable fuel regulator as with our Silvia, a HKS Mushroom air filter and a Bailey recirculating dump valve, as seen below. 9th December 09 The Turbo conversion is progressing well, the turbo is mounted and plumbed in to air, oil and water feeds. The EGT sensors which will be connected to our customary VEMS Gauge is connected and the downpipe to the turbo is heat wrapped. The Nur-Motorsport Carbon fibre alternator Shroud is installed and along with some more carbon touches and the excellent space saving EFI system should really improve the look of the engine bay. 21st October 09 Our GT2 Replica is now undergoing a Turbo Engine conversion. Using the 3.3 Turbo lump from our 965 Cabriolet and converting this to EFI and using uprated parts, uprated cams and GT35 turbo we are looking to give the car the speed that its looks suggest. 20th April 09 In the lead up to our trip to the Nurburgring in this car we adjusted the tappets, properly configured the Race Tech Dash 2 unit, and gave the car a general once over. We have now decided to go a step further and give the car a bit more power to put the engine back in balance with its looks. To do this we have bought a set of Jenvey Throttle bodies, 993 RS cams and will be installing our custom ECU. This should bring the power up nicely, get rid of a lot of high up weight due to the intake manifold disappearing, and make the sound even better. This follows the Conversion Of The 993 To The GT-2. This arrived to us as a Porsche 964 Carrera 2 on a 1990
spec with full steel body 993 turbo conversion. New Pictures 20-03-08 New Pictures 08-05-08 New Pictures 17-07-08
