Kev Atkins wins round 6 in Time Attack Club class

Snetterton played host to the final round of the Time Attack UK series. We were invited along by Kev Atkins, winner of the championship last year and a valued customer and company friend, to view the last race of the season. It was an excellent result with Kev taking home 4 trophies from the day including the Club class victory. Click here for more details and photos.

Nur-Motorsport R34 does Castle Combe

On October 10th we attended a trackday at Castle Combe with the R34 GT-T with Stuart from Performance Cars, who drove his Sierra RS Cosworth. The Skyline did nearly 2 hours of flat out track time and didn’t miss a beat all day, despite suspension geometry problems negating some of its handling prowess.

The RS Cosworth was blisteringly quick but suffered two differential failures with the diff being changed in circuit by Stuart. Impressive!

Nur-Motorsport GT2 does Snetterton

On the 22nd of September we took the GT2 to Snetterton for the RMA/Opentrack/ Road magazine trackday. The Porsche was run pretty much all day and never skipped a beat, putting to shame many more powerful machines and impressed a few onlookers along the way, look forward to our review in Total 911 magazine as a result.

The Classic 1984 Audi UR Quattro

The Audi Quattro was the first four wheel drive car to enter the World Rally championship when it did so in 1981 and it took the championship by storm. In 1983 it won the championship, beginning the dominance of high power 4wd cars in the "Group B" Era. Eventually these cars became too fast and the class was banned. I have been lucky enough to have owned this classic for 14 years.

We have recently decided to give the classic a face lift, Not only have we started to fully restore all the existing body work, We have also decided to give this classic a little bit extra by re-building the original 200Bhp engine to a 250Bhp engine. We also have plans to upgrade the current suspension.

All this will take this timeless classic back to its original glory, whilst also giving it a few deserved extras.

Thanks for your time,
The Nur-Motorsport Team.
