      "Greener, cheaper fuel"

Nissan Silvia S14A

17th August 09

The silvia is now back at our workshop to be moulded and have the rest of the work completed on it, look forward to updates in the coming weeks.

18th June 09

The car has now been basecoated in Gloss black which will allow us to see any imperfections before we take moulds from it. As you can see it is a lovely finish which should yield good quality panels from the moulds and the colour makes the car look very businesslike.

4th June 09

The rollcage has now been painted by our bodyshop in preparation for painting the rest of the bodywork. Stay Tuned.

9th May 09

The wide arch kit has now been smoothed and primered at our bodyshop ready to be painted and then moulded, in addition to this only the interior seam welding and rollcage joints need to be painted until we can have the car back.

29th April 09

While the car is being prepared for moulding at our bodyshop work does not stop at our workshop.

The Exhaust manifold has been cleaned, gasket residue removed, lapped and studs cleaned, while the support bracket has had its rust removed, painted with EHT paint and new bolts sourced. The manifold will now be wrapped with heat wrap and this painted with silicon based formula to ensure the wrap stays tight to the manifold and performs optimally.

Also the intercooler piping is being manufactured and a sub-loom is being created for the Race Technology Dash 2 and DL1 systems to ensure plug and play between all of our cars.

25th April 09

The 200SX has now got all major parts for the assembly of the engine. As you can see below we have collected the Garrett GT3071R Turbo from Owen developments, and the custom Plenum creations Inlet manifold, 90mm throttle body and fuel rail.

In addition the boot skin is installed and pins in place, door skins produced and rear quarters cut out (this process alone loosing 10.9kg), and the door bars are installed. The car is now in the bodyshop for prep work.

13th April 09

Since the last update we had a bit of a break over the Easter weekend and spent some time on a customers project, Cliff Judsons Drag R33 GTR.

Other than that the high flow water pump has now arrived, this was needed in order to drive the flow around the system from front to back of the car to the rear mounted radiator.

One of our company friends who helped organise the Fast and Furious meet and produced the two personal videos of our cars is visiting in the week and hopefully has a solution which will allow us to use Top fed injectors on our engine.

6th April 09

Since the last update the Silvia has progressed well, the rear wing is installed and adjustable mounts fabricated, Front bumper has been trial fitted and the head is reinstalled with HKS cams pulleys and springs.

The turbo should arrive tomorrow as will the S13 manifold that we need in order to use our top mount injectors and Greddy fuel rail. We have received the Fuel Lab pressure regulator, bonnet pins so we can finally install the boot and GTI-R Oil Pump which runs a much higher pressure than the standard SR20, hopefully increasing reliability.

27th March 09

The rear mount system for the radiator is now complete and painted, all carbon panels are present and checked to be as light as possible, and Strakes for the diffuser have been produced with flanges for mounting.

We have received the components to manufacture the exhaust including a large diameter turbo elbow and repackable silencer and the fuel rail is the last item to complete the inlet side of the engine, all that remains is the Turbo.

Our Universal rear wing design is being used to provide one of the elements for the spoiler and this is nearly completed, at the moment it is being strengthened at the mount points, which will force directly onto the chassis.

19th March 09

The Toyo R888s are fitted which will allow us to make final decisions regarding spacer width and diffuser width. Bodywork mods are continuing, largely to the rear end, here are some sneak previews.

10th March 09

The Rollcage is largely installed now, all that remains is the rear diagonals, door bars and vertical door bars. The diffuser is being trial mounted, and composite mounts are being made up to securely fasten it to the steel framework.

Moulds are being made up for the carbon parts also. We have finally managed to source a bonnet and front wings, so soon our wide arch kit and carbon bonnet will also be in progress. The VEMs gauge and rocker arm stoppers have also arrived.

4th March 09

As you can see we have received the oil cooler kit and front bumper for the 200SX. The front bumper is a genuine Veilside item which has had a few knocks, you can see on the picture that we have set out some areas we wish to cut away, this is to improve flow to the intercooler, oil cooler and brake ducts. Also the entire lower horizontal piece will be removed to allow an extension of the bumper to bring it down to the level of the rest of our car, and the installation of our own splitter.

The time for the rebuild of our engine is nearly here, we only need the Turbo, rocker stoppers from Driftworks and the top end gasket kit from Nissan before we can proceed.

23rd February 09

We have installed the Driftworks Coilover and full arm setup including lower arms now as some issues were raised with the manufacture of the previous set we were using, these are now to be used as spares.

The short shifter is installed and interior stripped of sound deadening and work has started on seam welding. The rear mounted radiator is installed and the diffuser is being constructed.

We are looking to pick up a bonnet and front wings for our wide arch kit tomorrow and the doors are being prepared to be skinned at the minute.

10th February 09

Engine head parts and suspension are now ordered, various alloy parts have arrived from Japspeed including the Alloy double width radiator. This is frankly a work of art and excellent value for money, you can buy this and any of their parts through us.

Also from Japspeed we have included the extended sump kit, Catch tank kit, Solid rear subframe mount kit and Short Shifter.

7th February 09

Stripping work has now started on the engine bay, the aircon, abs, radiators and intercooler are gone. The radiator is to be rear mounted, a RS500 intercooler will be used to allow clear run from the turbo/into the manifold, and we will use the servoed brakes without ABS.

We are getting a suspension setup from driftworks who are also helping this project by sponsoring us, and are also using HKS cams and pulleys. The new turbo is going to be a GT3071R and we hope to produce around 450Hp.

The sump is going to be extended and baffled to prevent surge, and adjustable suspension arms have been intstalled front and rear, and are soon to be joined by driftworks lower arms. The boot floor has been cut out, a framework will be installed to support the radiator and diffuser.

26th January 09

We have now recieved and installed the Roll cage which is a Chr-Moly Cusco item. At the moment it is a six point bolt in item but we plan to thoroughly strengthen it with the use of door and cross bars.

The seats and harnesses have also been trial fitted and will soon be permanently installed, the strut brace is in, if only as a two point at the minute to allow removal of the ABS system.

14th January 09

The car is now being changed from a drift car to mainly a track car as we are planning to enter the Nippon Challenge with it this season. On this theme the car will now be developed aerodynamically with the use of CAD and CFD to construct and configure the canards, rear wing, diffuser and ducting.

The rear wide arches are being test fitted and seem to provide a good width, perhaps needing spacers or extending the axle to fill them.

The interior is stripped and the wheel fitted, crossbars are soon to be fitted to the front seat mounts to enable flat mounting of the side mounted seats.

8th January 09

We have begun stripping the S14A and have received the interior components that we will install. The car has side mounted Sparco Sprint Buckets, Sabelt 6 Point Harnesses, OMP Corsica dished wheel as on the maxi and Fire extinguisher install. The Tomei 3 Point Strut brace has also arrived.

23rd December 08

We have received a Silvia S14A which we will be transforming into the most hardcore of our cars yet, a fully stripped, no comforts wide-bodied drift car. We have sourced some 50mm wider wings front and rear and on the exterior these, ROTA wheels, our Universal rear wing and a custom rear bumper will feature. On the inside nothing will remain apart from some bucket seats, 6 point harnesses and a wheel.

The engine is currently putting out around 330hp so a huge amount of work is not needed on that, the brakes will be upgraded as will the suspension and appropriate links.

At the front the cars previous owner had added his own exterior modification, this will be returned to stock with our carbon bonnet, a standard bumper, our splitter and a new intercooler.
