Ford Capri Mk3 Race Car.

Since the last update the Genuine Fibresport Ford Xpack kit has been installed onto the Capri, it will be filled and painted hopefully within the next month.

Also the fuel tank has now finally arrived, the floor is due to be cut out and the tank will be fitted in the next week, along with the swirl pot.

We have installed a custom rollcage to the Capri and it is now being uprated to a higher spec with door bars, bracing and stiffeners.

Also the rear quarters have been cut off and front quarters removed to allow fitment of the X-Pack bodykit in the coming weeks, and after this only the painting of the car and final engine modifications remain to finish the car.

Colin is preparing a Mk3 Ford Capri for the Classic Sports Car Championship next year, where he will be racing in the Future classics class against several Porsches.

He has heavily upgraded the brakes on the car which are a weak point as standard, has welded in the roof and a rollcage and fuel system will follow over Christmas.
